Medical Certificates
Did you know a pharmacist can provide short-term medical certificates for sick leave or carers leave, covering a range of common illnesses? Ask your pharmacist for details.
Medicines Reviews
This is a Medicare-funded service designed to ensure your medications are compatible, safe and beneficial. During the course of the review, which normally takes about 40 minutes, you can ask your pharmacist for advice or information on any health related topic. Please make an appointment with Wesley or Debbie to visit your home or see you in the private counselling room at the pharmacy.
Medication Profiles. Next time you visit, ask your pharmacist for a comprehensive list of all your medicines, including an explanation of its action and description of its appearance. Taking this list with you to your GP and specialists will help you keep track of your medication and allow you to manage your medications more effectively. Better yet, updates to your list are free of charge.

Dose Administration Aids
Ask you pharmacist for a Medico-pak® to help you take your pills and capsules in the right combinations and at the right time.
A Medico-pak® is a safe and simple medication pack. It sets out all the tablets and capsules that need to be taken at each particular time of the day, for each day of the week. This makes it easy to manage medication.
The pharmacist takes the doctor’s prescriptions and dispenses the medication into a blister pack. This pack is securely sealed so the medication is protected and there is no chance of spilling or mixing things up.
The pack lists all the contents plus other medications taken, providing vital information for hospital or ambulance staff in the case of emergency.
When it is time to take the medication, simply remove the contents of the blister through the foil backing for the correct time on the correct day. The pack provides a visual cue, helping you to remember to take your medication.
Other benefits include removal of excess medication at home, as the prescriptions and bottles of tablets are stored at the pharmacy. Also, the pharmacist reminds you when your prescription is about to expire.
MedsIndex
A new medicines compliance and support service designed to help track how you are performing with medicines compliance. MedsIndex calculates how much medicine the doctor intended you to take compared to how much is being dispensed by your pharmacist.
Pharmacy Self Care Fact Cards
Through the Fact Card health information system, Pharmacy Self Care provides high quality health information to support the counselling and advice that our pharmacists provide.
Each Fact Card provides essential information and includes counselling points, highlight when referral is appropriate, and provide contact details for further sources of information. They are an easy-to-read, double-sided card in a standardised format.
Fact Cards are available for self selection in the pharmacy.
Medical Equipment
We have a range of equipment available for hire and sale, including crutches, walking frames, nebulisers, blood pressure monitors and wheelchairs. Please ask staff for assistance with these items.
